I am writing here after a little more than a year. Lots of things happened in India since then. The stock market has its greatest bull run and also its biggest crash, terror attacks on our cities have become the order of the day, the government was on the verge of collapsing so on and so forth....

Speaking of the government collapse one wonders what the big deal (pun intended) is all about. I am not an expert on the N-deal between India and U.S nor do I understand its nitty gritty but if it is giving us the technology to generate energy for our needs and if it brings business to Indian companies then whats wrong in that?

Some people argue that after signing this deal we will not be able to conduct nuclear tests.... well, as far as I understand ( I may be wrong here) that nuclear tests are conducted solely for the purpose of weaponisation. We already are a nuclear weapon state and if we have to drop an atom bomb on someone will it matter if we drop a N-bomb which is not the latest one, it will still kill millions of people, so whats the fuss about conducting nuclear tests?

This has been the brainchild of our PM Dr. Manmohan Singh, who is the architect of modern Indian economy and he is the one who put India on the world map after his liberilization of economy and at that time , it was the same set of politicians who has opposed it and now the whole nation is reaping its rewards. If we get all the advantages from this N-deal as we have told then Mr.Singh would be the person who would be hailed as the leader who solved the problem of India's energy needs.

I dont' think any other PM has that distinction of going down in history to have taken two such decisions which changed India for the better.

This write-up is baseless. How can you comment on the Indo-US nuclear deal without knowing its nitty-gritty.A responsible blogger would based his comments on facts.
